Red Carpet program
Erick Achal, Danielle Compton, Donna Smith
This team developed the red-carpet program, which welcomes new residents on their admission date to Villa Marie by rolling out a red carpet to mark their arrival and support a sense of belonging as they join the site. The program helps make the move-in experience positive for residents and their families. As part of the welcome, existing residents participate, reinforcing the sense of community from the first day.
Touring potential residents and their families is another key responsibility of the team. They represent Covenant Care and help shape first impressions of the site as welcoming and supportive. Team members serve as ambassadors and demonstrate the Covenant mission, vision and values in their daily work, contributing to the reputation of Villa Marie and Covenant Care in central Alberta.
The red-carpet program is distinctive within the Red Deer community. The team helps new residents understand that their perspectives are valued and that staff and leaders are available to listen. The administration team not only provides an initial introduction to the site but also supports residents with questions or concerns. This approach encourages residents to approach the front desk, knowing they will be assisted or directed to someone who can help.
