Jennyleen Lynne, nutrition service worker

Coming to work with a positive attitude, Jennyleen Lynne makes residents’ and team members’ days better. She prepares herself for each shift by knowing where she is working, what the menu is, which residents she will be serving and what choice she is able to offer them. If schedules change or challenges arise at the last minute, Jennyleen will adapt and focus on giving residents an enjoyable meal service. She holds herself accountable for the responsibilities of food service. She reports for her scheduled and additional shifts on time and prepared for the day.

When a resident has a concern about their food preferences or the meals provided, Jennyleen communicates these concerns to her supervisors in a timely manner. She will follow up to find out if action has been taken. Jennyleen takes steps to follow any new diet information printed in the residents’ reports.

On a daily basis she communicates honestly and thoughtfully with residents and coworkers. When asked to complete additional tasks or try a new style of service, Jennyleen keeps an open mind, gives constructive feedback and offers suggestions to her coworkers and supervisors.

Jennyleen is a leader of a recent trend in food services at Youville Home. She brings together her coworkers during their lunch hours to share special treats and meals.
