Maintenance team

When a significant water leak occurred in the Sodexo staff locker room at St. Teresa Place in October 2025, the maintenance team responded immediately and efficiently solved the problem. Over three weeks, they exemplified outstanding dedication to team wellness while effectively preventing unnecessary costs.
The maintenance team took a collaborative approach and ensured they remained informed and engaged. They divided the tasks reducing stress and creating a strong team focus. Their clear communication with each other and the three contractors involved, combined with a collective problem-solving mindset helped them get through a physically demanding and time sensitive repair.
After quickly assessing the issue, they realized they needed specialized expertise and hired a plumber. The maintenance team took responsibility for preparatory work like removing sections of the ceiling drywall to reduce costs while ensuring the contractors had safe access to the damaged pipes.
The maintenance team coordinated containment measures to manage dust, debris and moisture exposure minimizing health risks and preventing avoidable sick time. This helped avoid spreading contaminants. The maintenance team’s actions reassured staff that their workspace is valued, safe and well maintained, which strengthens workplace satisfaction and trust. For residents and families, the team’s stewardship contributes to a stable, reliable and caring home environment.
