Creating a positive work environment by engaging with residents, families and the entire team, Stacey ann Lewis is compassionate and respectful to everyone. She is a very good team player and a dedicated nurse.

Stacey ann shared her happiness when a resident’s granddaughter brought in her newborn to show her grandmother. She found time to spend with them during the visit.

She comforted a resident who did not have any family members and was undergoing radiation therapy. The resident was very stressed, emotional and crying often about his health. Stacey ann was very kind and provided reassurance. She goes above and beyond to ease residents’ stress levels.

A female resident from a different culture refuses personal care. Stacy ann stepped in to try to help since the health care aides were not successful. She approached the resident in a calm manner. As soon as the resident saw Stacey ann, she smiled and said ‘you are a sweetheart” and allowed Stacy ann to perform part of the care.

Stacy ann is an excellent listener and provides a sense of home to residents and families by validating their feelings. One of the residents in the memory care unit was extremely frustrated with his spouse because she did not take him home with her, and his behaviours escalated. Stacy ann sat beside him, maintained eye contact said it seems like you are frustrated. Your wife just left, but she will be back tomorrow. We are here to help you. The resident calmed down.
